Introducing Exurbia – our new home and lifestyle store at Fordmore!

We’re thrilled to welcome Exurbia to the Fordmore community – a beautifully curated home and lifestyle store founded by Nicki Reid.

Located on the ground floor of one of our converted farm buildings, Exurbia brings together an inspiring collection of homewares, including statement lighting, stylish mirrors, cosy throws, rugs, furniture, pet accessories, and thoughtful gifts – all carefully sourced from across the UK and overseas.

Nicki, who brings a wealth of experience from her previous role as sales and marketing director at Barratt Homes, says: “This is an exciting new chapter for me. After stepping away from the corporate world, I wasn’t quite sure what was next – but when this opportunity came up, it just felt right. It’s already been a joy to welcome customers into the space. We’re listening to their feedback and adapting our product range to meet both demand and the changing seasons.”

The name Exurbia – which comes from the Latin term for ‘beyond the suburbs’ – perfectly reflects Nicki’s vision of offering something a little different: timeless pieces that bring warmth, charm and individuality to every home.
